I have been a patient for quite a few years. Initially, I was in so much pain, all the time, that I needed to take lots of pain medications. In addition, I had to have many different treatments in surgery type settings, like shots, nerve treatments etc. Then, along came the “neurostimulator”. I was at a point where I had to use those battery operated vehicles anytime I went shopping or on any long outings. The neurostimulator was presented to me as an option to help with controlling my pain. I didn’t really think it would help, but I figured, it would be crazy not to at least give it a try. Oh my gosh, I couldn’t believe how much it helped!! I could walk for hours at a time! I could sleep! I was telling everyone I knew with pain problems that they needed to try it. I had my first implant in March of 2011. In March of last year, a new model came out. It worked even better than my original stimulator. And, the best part of all was that you didn’t need to feel the vibration like the original unit had. Sometimes, the vibrations could make you crazy. Anyway, I am eternally grateful to have had the opportunity to receive my neurostimulator!! Thank you
